And he quickly made the Tottenham faithful eat their words after he was reminded of his penalty miss in England's Euro 2020 final defeat to Italy.

In a video that has gone viral on X, a selection of fans could be heard chanting, 'You let your country down,' towards the winger as he prepared to take a corner in the 15th minute.

But they were quickly reduced to silence as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg headed the set piece into his own net to gift Arsenal an early lead.

As Saka's teammates ran over to celebrate with him, the Hale End graduate turned to the direction of the fans that jeered him, where he could be seen cupping his right ear.

One fan could be heard telling the youngster to 'f*** off' following his cheeky reaction, with Saka then rubbing further salt in their wounds 12 minutes later.

The 2020 FA Cup winner doubled the visitors' lead after capping off a free-flowing counter-attack, where he was expertly picked out by Kai Havertz.

After skipping past defender Ben Davies inside the box, he then curled home into the bottom left corner, where he ran to the end of the fans that mocked him.

Once again, Saka cupped his ears to the crowd, with his strike seeing him become the first Englishman since Ian Wright for Arsenal in 1994 to score home and away against Spurs in a single season.

Havertz then got into the trolling mood when he put Mikel Arteta's men 3-0 up soon after by putting his finger to his lips.

A Spurs fight back in the second half threatened to derail Arsenal's title tilt, but they hang on for the crucial three points.

The relief was there for all to see following the full-time whistle, as the players sprinted over to the away end to celebrate with their fans.

Speaking to Arsenal.com, Saka said: "It’s nice to score home and away as an Arsenal guy, we love this fixture and to score here is nice - I’m buzzing.

“It’s a big relief, a big flow of happiness and to go over to the fans and celebrate like that it was enjoyable for sure.

“We’ve got three to go so we need to keep winning.

"It’s Bournemouth at home next, and we’re going to do what we can, focus on our game, win our games and see where it leaves us.”
