Hull City skipper eyeing another unbeaten run

Hull City captain Eric Lichaj wants his side to overcome the disappointment of losing 3-0 to Huddersfield Town last time out against QPR this Saturday.

Prior to facing the Terriers, the Tigers were on a run of five games unbeaten and the American international is eager to hit another run of form as Grant McCann’s side look to climb up the Championship table.

Hull have games coming up against QPR, Nottingham Forest and Derby County.

Lichaj has spoken ahead of this weekend’s clash against the Hoops at the KCOM Stadium, as per the Tigers’ official website: “We’ll be going into the QPR match looking to kick-off another positive run of results after our little unbeaten five-game sequence came to an end at Huddersfield before the break. That was a really disappointing and frustrating day for us, especially in front of such a large travelling support, and we shot ourselves in the foot during the second half.”

It felt like it was a step backwards given our results and how we had performed leading into that game. We need to take two steps forward in the coming weeks and the break has allowed us to do some hard work on the training field to try and ensure that that happens.”

He continued: “We’re in the bottom half of the table right now, so our initial focus now that the break is over is to get ourselves above halfway and then take things from there.”
