After the Eagles stole Saquon Barkley from the division rival New York Giants, Philly fans have been anxiously awaiting the on-field pairing of one of the NFL's best quarterbacks with one of the sport's most powerful running backs.

Training footage has now emerged and fans are even more pumped for Week 1.

"Jalen Hurts x Saquon Barkley… Scary," one prominent account on X posted.

"Been waiting on the Hurts/Saquon content," one fan tweeted.

"That Jalen and Saquads combo is gonna feed families," a second fan posted.

"Saquads" is a funny reference to Barkley's massive legs, which are tree trunk-like and famous throughout the NFL.

He's made two Pro Bowls, won Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2018, and should be entering the prime of his career.

Philly offered a 2024 season appetizer by posting workout footage showing Hurts and Barkley trading monster squats.

As Barkley lifts a massive load of weights, Hurts is shown grinning in the background.

Another video showed Hurts coolly handing the ball to Barkley, who broke through the line and entered the second level.

"So excited to watch this duo play," a fan tweeted.

Saquon Barkley shows confidence that he can squat more than new Philadelphia Eagles teammate and ex power-lifter Jalen Hurts on Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce's New Heighs podcast

"Giants fans in the comments probably, 'Glad he's gone, he's overrated,' as they're crying typing it out," a second fan wrote.

Hurts is hoping for a bounce back year in 2024, despite making his second Pro Bowl.

Barkley is just hoping to play for a winner and Super Bowl contender.

Together, they should form one of the most powerful backfields in the league.

Jason Kelce has referred to Hurts as the "Squat Machine."

The former Alabama and Oklahoma college QB previously squatted a whopping 600 pounds.

Barkley, who's also known as "Quadzilla," has long been the center of sports fans' fascination.

"I was in Newark airport, and I was walking to get my bags, and I had short shorts on, people were just looking at me, and I'm like 'What the heck?' " Barkley once said.

"I had a hoodie on, and I'm like, 'What's everyone staring at?' And people were coming up and saying, like, 'You've got some really nice legs.' I think when it first started out, I was like, I don't know why - it was males, females, everybody - and I'm just so caught off guard by it."

The Eagles were supposed to be NFC Super Bowl favorites last year but gave the East to the Dallas Cowboys and were humiliated in the playoffs.

With Barkley and Hurts pumping iron together, Philly should be a stronger squad in 2024.
