Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has broken his personal goalscoring record which he had set in the 2017/18 season.

The 30-year-old fired in a double in the 2-1 win against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday afternoon to bring his tally to 42 goals in all competitions.

Kane was on hand to tap home from a few yards out in the ninth minute.

He then slotted in a penalty just after the hour mark to bring up 35 Bundesliga goals this term and his 400th senior goal for club and country.

The England skipper has been nothing short of sensational since joining Bayern from Tottenham last summer in a deal worth more than £100million.

With 42 goals in total, Kane has gone one better than his previous best scoring tally in a single season from six years ago.

That was in Spurs' first season at Wembley, with Kane's 41 goals and five assists coming from 48 outings.

Kane has already bettered that tally in six games fewer, while also laying on 13 assists for his teammates.

His latest goals has also seen Kane score against 16 out of the 17 Bundesliga teams he has faced since his move to the Allianz Arena.

That is a joint-record in Bundesliga history along with Gerd Muller, Ailton and Robert Lewandowski.

Only Freiburg have managed to stop Kane from getting on the score sheet from their two meetings.

It's been a year of record-breaking achievements for Kane who has scored the most hat-tricks [four] out of any player in their debut Bundesliga season.

He is is also the first footballer to score two or more goals in eight different games in his opening campaign in the German top-flight.

Additionally, no other player has scored more than Kane in their first Bundesliga term.

With just three games left to play, Kane needs to score six more times if he wishes to equal Lewandowski's record of 41 Bundesliga goals in a single season.
